Our Professional Doctorate Programme in Oral Medicine provides an integrated three years training for dentists who aspire to be clinical academics of the future. This innovative course is for you if you are a dental graduate with a special interest in oral medicine.

The DClinDent degree integrates academic activities with clinical practice and research up to level 8 of FHEQ and the contents of the modules reflect the General Dental Council (UK) Specialist Curriculum. The three-year full-time DClinDent Degree programme is based at our campus in London.

• Extends your knowledge and skills in Oral Medicine at a postgraduate level and prepares you for a professional career as a dentist with a specialist interest in the discipline
• Provides you with hands-on clinical training through chair-side supervised teaching in which treatment planning and clinical procedures are performed for selected cases, including a number of complex treatments
• Provides research training to professional doctorate level allowing you to develop critical appraisal skills in relation to published literature and undertake a research project, under direct supervision
• The Institute of Dentistry is the top-rated UK Dental School for quality of dental research, as assessed in the latest Research Excellence Framework (2014)access to a range of facilities including: medical and dental libraries, laboratories, equipment and world class facilities, to carry out state-of-the-art biomedical research
